Canouan cruise - pretty beaches, a wide variety of water sports and more
Ecologists, nature-lovers and those looking for truly pristine scenery will love what St Vincent has to offer. As an example, Petit Byahaut is a 50-acre valley situated on the island's leeward coast. Accessible only by sea, this eco-resort offers hikes and boat excursions to the Trinity waterfalls, La Soufriere active volcano, Falls of Baleine (60 foot falls with a huge, rock-lined pool) and Vermont Nature Trails. There is also great scuba diving and snorkeling both in the Bay and at other walls, reefs and caves along the West Coast. The main island of St. Vincent is 18 miles long and 11 miles wide, while the chain of smaller Grenadines, most no longer than a few miles, falls to the south of St. Vincent. The islands are broken up into dozens of cover and cays and all have lovely soft, white coral sand beaches and crystal-clear waters with superb diving and snorkeling. The larger islands, frequented by yachtsmen, include Bequia, Mustique, Canouan, Mayreau, Palm Island, the Tobago Cays, Union Island and Petit St. Vincent ("PSV").
